1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Maciej Romański, Muninn Software ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use Hot or Not. It applies to all users in the European Economic Area (EEA) and complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Data We Collect
Account data: phone number or email address, display name, account creation date.
Content you create: hot takes, mood selections, choices, and any images, videos, or audio recordings you upload.
Usage and analytics data: app interactions, screens visited, device type, OS version, crash reports, and performance data. This is collected via Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.).
Notification data: your device's push notification token.
Technical data: IP address, connection timestamps.
3. Legal Basis for Processing
We process your data on the following GDPR legal bases:
- Performance of a contract — account data and user-generated content, to operate the App.
- Legitimate interests — analytics and crash data, to improve app stability.
- Consent — push notifications and future advertising. You may withdraw consent at any time.
4. How We Use Your Data
- To operate the App and deliver your content to your partner in real time.
- To send push notifications.
- To analyse usage and fix bugs.
- To respond to support requests.
- To enforce our Terms and Conditions and prevent abuse.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your data. We share data only with:
- Supabase — database, authentication, real-time and storage infrastructure (EU).
- Sentry — crash and error monitoring (EU, data stored in Germany). No personally identifiable information is attached to crash reports.
When we introduce advertising in the future, we will update this policy and obtain your consent before sharing any data with ad networks.
6. Data Retention
- Account and content data: until you delete your account.
- Crash and performance data: 90 days (Sentry default).
- Notification tokens: until you uninstall the App or revoke permission.
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for users under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16. If you believe we have done so, contact us at muninn@gmail.com and we will delete it promptly.
8. Your Rights (GDPR)
As an EEA resident, you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of your personal data.
- Rectification — request correction of inaccurate data.
- Erasure — request deletion of your data.
- Restriction — request limited processing.
- Portability — request your data in a machine-readable format.
- Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Withdraw consent — at any time, without affecting prior processing.

9. Security
We use encrypted data transmission (TLS), access controls, and row-level security in our database. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at muninn@gmail.com.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the App or by email at least 30 days before they take effect.
